DAY 1 IN DEPANSAR, BALI

So this is my first time taking an aeroplane on my own to meet my love there. So i was really very excited for bali because i don't have to worry about anything there since my boyfriend living there for a year before going back to his country, Korea. So i took Air Asia 4pm flight and was supposed to reach at 6.35pm.

Look at the weather 30 minutes after the plane took off

And here's the going-to-reach-Bali weather. Very cloudy :(

Thanks to Air Asia, landed safely in Bali!
My friend told me that Bali airport is old and bla bla bla but i guess they renovated it and it was beautiful. So after 20 mins in the immigration, finally i'm out of the airport with my boyfriend waiting for me with his driver. (I'm sorry i can't provide you any teaching on how to go to places).

* There are a lot of taxi drivers waiting for tourists in the Bali airport so you might want to grab one of them to bring you to the place you wants to go.

So as promised, my boyfriend bought kimbab (a korean snacks) which cost around $3 per kimbab. So while eating kimbab and chit chatting with my boyfriend (it's been a month we didn't get to see each other, well far distance relationship....) off we go to Beachwalk shopping centre.

I didn't get to take picture of the beachwalk shopping centre itself because its dark so i screenshot for you from google. I tell you, its a beautiful mall with a lot of shops there. There's even a cinema! If you are a fan of coffees, bali is rich with cafes like starbucks and coffee beans! My boyfriend says its the best shopping mall in Bali.
    Beachwalk Shopping centre - Kuta
And opposite the beachwalk shopping centre, we crossed the road and tada ITS THE KUTA BEACH. But again i didn't take picture because it was so dark. But i can say its dirty. But well, if you want to catch sunrise or sunset, kuta beach is the place. And also, it's a famous beach place where people do their surfing, relax and more there. So whatever it is, it's better to pay a visit to Kuta Beach.

So, after 2 hours of sightseeing in Kuta, the driver picked us up and we went straight to Sanur which is where my boyfriend lives. So my first night in Bali ends in Sanur.

    * Before you want to enter in any shopping mall, there will be security guards checking on you. Its great, i feel safe in Bali!

*The people in Bali, the salesperson, the guards or anybody are really very nice. They speak to us politely and their service is tiptop. I'm happy going from shop to shop there.

Why you should go to Korea?

So, this is just my opinion, my thoughts about Korea. Since i just came back from Korea few days back, i started to miss Korean already. This didn't happened to me when i came back from other countries that i'd been to but why Korea? Simple. It's because of these 4 things: People, places, food and things to shop in Korea.

For the people, why? Most of them are very helpful. Yes they might stare and look at you because you are a foreigner(they are just curious, it's normal) but when you need help, they will try their best to speak in English to give you the information that you need. Also, i'm actually impressed with people working in retail shops, restaurants and more. I went into shops in Korea. First, they greet you warmly, and after that when you went in to the shop, they try to assist you as warmly as possible.I'm really very very very happy to shop around in Seoul. And when i was in the subway or walking on the streets, there's people greeting me (i was shocked) and asked me where i come from and how's my views on Seoul. Don't be afraid to talk to them, they are really nice people trying to strike a conversation with a foreigner. Also, if you are going to Seoul, bring a korean phrasebook with you in case you might need it :D

Note: If you are in the subway, don't seat at the prioritize seats even when there's no people or you are deadly tired. Stand or sit at the seats available for the non-prioritize ones. (This is what i observed. I never saw any young ones/age 30-40 sitting at the reserved seats.

For the places, i went to beautiful places like their palaces, shopping districts (Edae, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Dongdaemun and more), cafes, hangang river, buildings (Blue house, national assembly, KBS, SBS and more). Since it's my first time in Seoul, i'm more interested to explore more and satisfy my fan-girl thing. But for the 10 days i'm in Seoul, i always always go to Edae (My favourite place): a lot of street foods, foods, cafes, cheap shopping stuff.

I didn't went to Everland but i went to Lotte world instead. Okay for me lotte world is boring. It's really not for me, because i went at night and the most of the games are indoors, i just feel bored. So i think Everland would be a better choice really even though it's a lil bit much more expensive. But you can go to Lotte world though, there's lotte mart there (supermarket) and more!

Also i went to a club under YG. I forgotten the club name but it was in Hongdae and the club is really..... the best club i've ever visit. So many handsome koreans and pretty koreans and.... yes just be careful and take care of yourself over there! If you have a friend there to accompany you to the club it would be much better!

For the Karaoke room, i can tell you that's the happiest moment in my life. Its very very cheap and there's all the kpop songs that i'm dying to sing it. So i get to sing all my korean songs and really, you have to go to the karaoke in Seoul. HAHA

Also, i realized every Koreans no matter where i go dressed up. The boys are wearing nice casual clothes while the ladies are all up with makeups and pretty clothing with their silky hair (ah i envy them)

For the food, my favorite food there would be definitely kimbab and their banana milk. OMG. I ate kimbab and banana milk every day + one meal (either kimchi stew, bbq or whatever) but i still lose weight! I'm not kidding! I did lose weight and i felt so small when i'm in Korea haha. Because my hotel is in Myeongdong so i have no problem in finding food and all.

For the ones that can't eat pork and is a muslim, there's limited halal food there however you can drop by Itaewon as there are shops selling kebabs and there's a beautiful mosque down there (i swear the mosque is really beautiful) and if you need more reference about halal foods in Korea, you can search over at the internet ya.

Whatever it is, I love Korea i love Seoul :D

    Woohyun Restaurant (Directions)

Please note that Woohyun's restaurant got renovated recently so the pictures i provided for you below is an old picture of his restaurant by the naver map(it wasn't updated yet). It is still at the same place just that they renovate it to make it nicer :D

Hi there! Sadly i didn't pay a visit to Woohyun's restaurant even though i already planned how to go because i was very very busy because i spent quite a number of days at Incheon to explore more. So i can't provide you pictures of Woohyun's restaurant but i will provide you the useful directions.... TADA by naver map again.

    Woohyun restaurant -  생삼겹살전문정 (pork)
    Suyu station Line 4
    Exit 8

If it's not clear for you, i'm sorry but the map shows that exit 8 of Suyu station is the nearest to his restaurant!

Okay so this is the clearer map i plotted out for you.

    1. So from exit 8, walk straight after you exited out from EXIT 8.
    2. You should be walking on the left side of the main road (it's in sandy colour on the map).
    3. So when you see 우리은행 (bank) building, turn to your left.
    4. Walk pass the 우리은행 (bank) and another building beside the bank. After walking pass that building, take the traffic light and cross over (as shown on the map)
    5. Walk straight happily and you will see his restaurant!
More clearer pictures provided by naver map.....

    • Earlier on (point number 4) i did tell you that you have to walk pass the bank and another building beside the bank right? This is what you will see as you walk pass the buildings on your opposite. Take note of the shops such as GS25.

    • This is where you'll take the trraffic light and cross over. Take a look out of the cars and cross! hehe. Walk in into the road between the red banner shop and the GS25 (all these shop may varies since naver map last update was 1-2 years ago.

    • Keep walking in my dear people. Keep walking okay?

    • Picture by naver map! This is Woohyun's restaurant TADA TADA (It doesn't look like this already because it'd got renovated recently. So it should look more nicer and mordernized! Can check out other places on internet to see how Woohyun's restaurant looks like! :D

    Infinite Dongwoo's Restaurant

Hello there again! For our baby Dongwoo's restaurant, i went to his restaurant on Sunday, 16 of March. I came at about 4pm and there was a lot of people dining in there. Luckily, after a few minutes of settling down, the crowd is gone totally. Dongwoo's father was there along with some ahjummas working there but his mom wasn't there. So he's father greeted us warmly and asked us where were we from and we said Singapore. And he clapped his hand and laughed because we came from  far just to dine in to his restaurant. //He's too adorable omg//

Note: INSPIRIT! Bring present for dongwoo when you come to his restaurant. There's a lot of bears and placards around from all inspirits. Just pass it to his dear father and he will put your present at one corner.

Okay..... let's start the directions now

    인창쭈꾸미
    Inchang Jjukkumi - Octopus restaurant
    Guri station (Jungang Line)
    Exit 1

Here's a clearer map of the Guri Station (Jungang Line) and the "A" which is Dongwoo's restaurant. See? You can see that the exit 1 is nearer to his restaurant right? But for me, i went out at exit 3 because i can't find the exit 1. But not to worry, if you are like me who can't find the exit 1, you can come out from exit 3 and turn to your right and walk straight. You will see that there's a park.

When you cross the road you will see this building and has 우리은행 (Bank) written on  it. There's another building beside the  우리은행 building. Walk into the small road beside the building. Don't worry about getting lost, you have to be confident! So just walked in and Dongwoo's restaurant is literally at the right corner of the road!

I took a lot of pictures in Dongwoo's restaurant but i'm so lazy to upload it here so have fun going to his restaurant! Oh and yes, he's octoupus dish is really spicy! Usually i can take spicy stuff but haha, this is spicy but very nice! Price is reasonable and for me this is the nicest dish i had in Korea :D

    Infinite Sungyeol's restaurant (Directions)

So, on the Thursday, 13 of March, i went over to Sungyeol's BBQ cafe in Hapjeong. Among the four infinite's restaurants, Sungyeol's restaurant is the easiest to locate because it's really just beside the Hapjeong subway station. Throughout my Korea trip where i went with only my brother's girlfriend, i planned where to go, how to go by using the useful naver map provided.

For smartphones, download naver map into your phone if you are going to Korea without any tour guides. But before that, you have to know how to read and recognize those hangul words written in the naver map.

BBQ치킨  합정스타점 = BBQ Chicken Hapjeong Seutajeom
    Hapjeong Station Line 2
    Exit 2

As shown below, the naver map clearly shows where is Sungyeol's restaurant. It says 합정(Hapjeong) 역 (Station) and it's in green color so come out from the green line exit 2 of Hapjeong station and take the EXIT 3. Once you come out of the exit 3, turn back and walk straight and TADA, you can see his BBQ chicken within few seconds.

When you come out of exit 3, you will face as where the red arrow shows you. So you turn to your back (follow the green arrow) and just walk straight for a few seconds, and you can see his restaurant.

So when you visit there, tell his mom that you are infinite/Sungyeol's fan, then she will give you free photocard! And their main dish is fried chicken but i'm not a fan of chicken so yeah!

Thats Sungyeol's parents by the way

When i came, there's a birthday celebration in there.
